There is a serious but entirely emotional heart to ‘Satisfied’, the kind that reminded me of Mercury Rev. There is a piano opening that would put you in mind of a soundtrack from an epic flick but the evidence thereafter is one of a folk ramble that is less grandiose and more in touch with the small things. The small things as it turns our that add up to the true magic that is life and love. Joel Daniel has crafted a quiet classic here, a soothing ode to appreciating what is right in front of us. KH
