The 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii, the first event of the 2026 PGA Tour season, gets underway this week at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament, including a full Sony Open TV schedule, streaming info and complete tee times for the first and second rounds once they are released.
After a lengthy offseason featuring numerous exhibitions, the PGA Tour gets back to business this week with the 2026 season opener.
Traditionally, the Sentry event is the first Tour event of the season, but this year’s Sentry was canceled. Instead, the season begins at the Sony Open, which is also played in Hawaii. And a quality field has assembled.
The Sony Open will feature four players ranked in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking. Three of those players — Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun and Ben Griffin — happen to have been members of the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup team. They’ll be joined by Ryder Cup teammate Collin Morikawa and their coach Keegan Bradley.
Players will be fighting for a sizeable total purse of $9.1 million, with $1.638 million going to the winner.
Golf Channel will air exclusive TV coverage of the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii, while PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will offer featured group streaming coverage all tournament long.
