INFINITE's Lee Sung Yeol Releases Special Album "Asteroid"

     

    Lee Sung Yeol of INFINTE has released his special album "Asteroid" on December 12.

    The album contains a total of three songs: the title track 'Asteroid,' 'One Step Closer,' and 'DIVE.'

    The title track, 'Asteroid,' delicately expresses the wavering heart in the face of love, like a small star wandering in the vast universe. It contains Lee Sung Yeol's message of sincere feelings and gratitude to his fans.

    Lee Sung Yeol  actively participated in the songwriting process with the composer to maintain the song's charm while conveying his feelings to his fans.

    Through his agency, Lee Sung Yeol said,

    "I can sing because of my fans who always listen to my and INFINITE's music, laugh with me, and share their emotions with me. I'm really looking forward to the path we'll walk together in the future."

    'Asteroid' delicately captures the wavering heart in the face of love, like a small star wandering in the vast universe. The whispering vocals layered over the flowing melody carefully depict the emotions of love, like asteroids slowly orbiting and merging into each other's paths. Through the distance between hearts that seems almost within reach, and the warmth that blossoms in that space, this band-sound-based pop-rock song most clearly showcases Sung Yeol's deepened emotions and musical style.


    'One Step Closer' is an emotional band ballad that uses the metaphor of starlight to express a love that feels so close yet so far away. The desire to take one more step closer to someone who keeps drifting further away, even when you reach out, is delicately conveyed through clear and transparent vocals. It features a hybrid arrangement with acoustic and electric guitars, drums, and bass as the core band sound, beautifully complemented by keyboards and a string orchestra. The song begins with a whispered, intimate delivery, gradually building in intensity with powerful high notes towards the end, maximizing the earnestness of 'One Step Closer.'

    'DIVE is a bright and cheerful pop track that expresses the excitement and courage of love. It captures the feeling of wanting to approach someone but being afraid to take a step back, and theドキドキ /doki doki (heart-pounding) moment of finally deciding to be honest with your emotions. With lyrical verses that use metaphors of the deep sea and outer space, combined with INFINITE's Sung Yeol's vocals and a refreshing melody, the pure emotions of falling in love for the first time are vividly conveyed.

    Following the release of his special album, Lee Sung Yeol is scheduled to hold an Asian fan meeting tour in the first half of next year.
