Zero and One Strut Their Stuff On ‘Relax’

Zero and One release their new single ‘Relax’, a pop-rock anthem full of grit and glamour. It comes from their new album ‘Wake Up’.

Zero and One – Relax

The song ‘Relax’ begins with a simple build-up of female essence and short, impactful sentences. The song aims to call people into relaxation.

The message is clear – swap out anything on the brain with the raw power of love. The song is created to battle the common occurrence of modern society, which is to fill the void. Slowing down and relaxing is the aim set out by Zero and One. To put this message on an upbeat track is clever. It excites the audience enough to listen.

Then, when their attention is hooked, the real message is revealed. The repetition of the title is obvious but intentional. It almost forces the listener into no other option but to relax. The entire song is well thought out and delivered. I enjoy the notion of not owing anyone anything else but love. It is a nice take on the human psychological condition.

‘Relax’ is from their new album ‘Wake Up’. The track ‘Wake Up’ is chosen as the title track for good reason. It is my personal favourite off the new album, offering a classic female energy that is reminiscent of many late 2000s pop-rock artists.

The chorus vocals gorgeously transcend. The instrumental is full of funky power. The first two songs, ‘Relax’ and ‘Wake Up’, contrast approaches to make the same point of realising the self. They set the tone for a superb album.

“Relax’ is a song filled with edge and purpose. It serves as a delightful pop-rock tune.”
