Swedish artist, songwriter, and producer Coria makes a striking debut with At Least It’s Something, an EP that balances moody folk introspection with vibrant alt-pop energy — evident on standout bookend tracks “Mountain” and “At Least It’s Something.”
Opening the EP, “Mountain” is riveting in its moody folk and vibrant alt-pop intertwining — starting initially with the former, and then attaining the effervescent pop pull in melodically admitting “I don’t even know if I miss it.” The more introspective verses — “you’re the silence / keeping me up at night” — channel a more solemn mystique, as quivering vocals build with feverish emotion into the “wake up” exultations. “Mountain” is a fantastic kick-off to the EP in showcasing Coria as capable of both soaring pop heights and more folk-ready contemplation.
The EP’s title track and finale is another stunner, per the artist exploring “the fleeting joy of a breakup.” The glimpses of repetition — “say my name, say my name” — exude a palpable beckoning, while the “at least” dreamy pop wonderment delights in its calming acoustic strums and whistling effect. “Don’t be scared” vocal encouragements continue the heart-on-sleeve yet lush immersion, enamoring in its harmonious vocal work and momentum-friendly build-up to the multi-layered “up all night” hook.
