The 2025 Amgen Irish Open gets underway this week at The K Club in County Kildare, Ireland, and it features a star-studded field that includes Rory McIlroy. McIlroy closed out his PGA Tour season with a disappointing T27 fnish at the 2025 Tour Championship. But he was quick to note that his season was far from over, with multiple DP World Tour events looming. Not to mention the Race to Dubai season-long title.
The rest of McIlroy’s season begins this week with Amgen Irish Open, which is something of a home open for the five-time major winner who hails from Northern Ireland.

He’ll be joined by his European Ryder Cup teammate, Ireland’s own Shane Lowry, and the European team captain Luke Donald.
And because this is a DP World Tour event and not sactioned by the PGA Tour, plenty of LIV Golf stars are in the field too. Those playes include Patrick Reed, Tyrrell Hatton, Brooks Koepka and Tom McKibbin, to name a few.
Sergio Garcia was expected to tee it up as well, but he withdrew sighting his disappointment at not earning a captain’s pick to play this year’s Ryder Cup.
