2025 FedEx St. Jude purse: Payout breakdown, winner's share

At this week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, there’s a lot at stake.

The top 70 players who were eligible for the first FedEx Cup playoff event will be pared down to the top 50 for next week. That group is also significant because it represents the cutoff for exemptions into next year’s lucrative Signature Events — tournaments with limited fields and elevated purses. Players who find themselves outside of the top 50 after this week can use the upcoming Fall Series to gain access into the first two Signature Events after the Sentry.

The FedEx Cup trophy is seen during the final round of TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club on September 1, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Punching your ticket into the top 50 also gives you an opportunity to snag some additional FedEx Cup bonus money. The $100 million bonus fund is being paid out in three installments this year. The first bonuses were paid out to the top 10 players in the FedEx Cup points ranking at the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship. The next installment will pay out the top 30 players on the list after next week’s BMW Championship, and a final $40 million will be up for grabs at the season-ending Tour Championship, where the top 30 players will compete on an even playing field with no starting strokes.

But first: there’s this week’s event, where Tommy Fleetwood is once again in position to notch his first PGA Tour victory. He holds a one-shot lead over fellow Englishman Justin Rose, and two shots over Scottie Scheffler.

“It’s taken me a long time to win out here, and I still haven’t done it, but best possible scenario at that Travelers straight away was can I put myself in that position again sooner rather than later,” Fleetwood said after his round of 69 on Saturday. “It’s just another opportunity for me to go out and try and have the best round of golf I can, enjoy being in that position. The more I put myself there, the more chance there is of it happening, and just go out and keep learning from every experience. But tomorrow might be my day, it might not, but being there is the most important thing, and I’ll continue to try and do that.”

This year’s FedEx St. Jude Championship purse is $20 million — on par with other Signature Event tournament purses this year. The payout breakdown for the tournament is below. You can track the final round here, and you can watch the action from 12-2 p.m. ET on Golf Channel and 2-6 p.m. ET on NBC.
