Arsenal booked a place in the semifinals of the EFL Cup with a pulsating 3-2 win against Crystal Palace, which has been them lock horns with Newcastle United in a two-legged affair.
Arsenal gaffer, Mikel Arteta, had confirmed the unavailability of Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko in his pre-match press conference, which paved the way for Kieran Tierney to make his first appearance since May 2024.

Mikel Merino – Ticked along really nice in midfield and made some key passes to progress the ball. (7)
Jorginho – Worked hard to support the team in the anchor position. (7)
Ethan Nwaneri – Failed to influence the game before he was yanked off at half time. (6)
Leandro Trossard – Offered little in the final third. (6)
Raheem Sterling – Brought in some high energy but could have done better with the chance Tierney offered him. (7)
Gabriel Jesus – Put up his best performance in Arsenal colors with a sensational hat-trick. (10)
William Saliba – Provided more security on his arrival in the second half. (7)
Martin Odegaard – Was at his creative best with two brilliant assists for G. Jesus. (9)
Myles Lewis-Skelly – Replaced Tierney and played well. (7)
Bukayo Saka – Showed his creative output with a neat assist for G. Jesus. (7)
