Real Madrid remains one of the biggest clubs in the world but in recent seasons, they have been plagued by injuries to their defenders.
Their marquee defensive signing from Bayern Munich, David Alaba, has suffered a litany of injuries and hasn’t played as much as they’d have hoped, and for yet another campaign, towering defender, Eder Militao, has suffered another knee injury that will sideline him for a considerable chunk of the season.
Real Madrid has been able to rely on their German domineering defender, Antonio Ruediger, to come up with the goods on a consistent basis, but he has struggled to find a consistent partner to feature with. Jesus Vallejo seems to be the only fit center back alongside Ruediger, but he has played only one match this season.
This ultimately means that Real Madrid would need to delve into the transfer market to find a sign a new defender.

According to Football Fan Cast, Real Madrid is weighing up the opportunity of making a move for William Saliba. Saliba is regarded as one of the best center backs in the world, and it’s evident to see how important he is to Arsenal. The Gunners have a percentage of 74 percent with Saliba available and 45 percent without him.
