Ariel Pink has claimed the reporter involved in an affair with RFK Jr. “lied to the world” about him attending the Capitol Hill insurrection.

Last Thursday (September 19), New York Magazine posted a statement revealing that Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi had a personal relationship with RFK Jr. whilst covering the 2024 election.

Now, Ariel Pink has said Nuzzi was the journalist who reported on his attending the Capitol Hill insurrection, claiming she “lied to the world about me”. On X/Twitter, Pink further alleged that Nuzzi “never apologised, never took it back. to this day, zero effort by ANY outlet to atone for spreading lies about me and ruining my life. 4 years”

The musician also posted screenshots of DMs between the two, where he went on to claim he “wasn’t there” at the insurrection. He admitted he was in DC, but “did i storm the capitol no”.

Pink continued to deny his involvement in the comments; when commenters replied that a video showed Pink at the insurrection, he responded: “theres no video of me there. THATS the WHOLE POINT.”

Ariel Pink originally said he was present at the protest, but denied being part of the mob who later stormed the Capitol.

On X/Twitter, he said at the time: “I was in dc to peacefully show my support for the president. i attended the rally on the white house lawn and went back to hotel and took a nap. case closed.”

Following news of his reported appearance at the insurrection, Pink’s label Mexican Summer dropped the musician, saying: “due to recent events, Mexican Summer and its staff have decided to end our working relationship with Ariel Rosenberg AKA Ariel Pink moving forward.”

Afterwards, Pink spoke out against the backlash against his supporting Trump, saying: “My family’s been getting death threats. They don’t even know I’m here, I had to sneak away because they were so terrified of me coming on TV. They’ve been getting it all week. Me too, the hate is just overwhelming… people are so mean.”

He also claimed he was “destitute and on the street”.

In other news, Ariel Pink and ex-Mumford & Sons member Winston Marshall have promoted a Christmas song seemingly about Hunter Biden on Tucker Carlson.
